Year 4 learning together in PSHE

This year we will be dedicating extra time to studying PSHE.  PSHE stands for Personal, Social and Health Education.

Personal, social and health education (PSHE) helps to give children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy and independent lives. It aims to help them understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. The kinds of questions that might come up in PSHE include: How can I show kindness? Why do we have to eat vegetables? How can I make new friends?

This week all three Year 4 classes came together to discuss what are their likes and dislikes. They also tried to find friends who like the same things as them.

Welcome Back to School Year 4

Welcome back to school Year 4. We had an excellent first day back at school after the long summer holidays. All the kids were excited to  walk up to the 3rd floor to their new classrooms with their new teachers at the start of the day. Up on floor three the students got their new lockers and once in their classrooms they got to introduce themselves to their new classmates and teachers. We all got used to our new Year 4 routines and completed some start of year activities. It was great to see everyone looking so fresh and ready for learning.  It should be a great year ahead!

Please note that reading books and homework will be sent out this week. Our normal homework schedule will be that homework will be given out on Tuesdays and returned a week later on Mondays.
