Year 4 Exploring the Rainforests

This term Year 4 have been exploring rain forests around the world. We have learned all about where they are located, what layers they are made up of and what plants and animals live there. All the students have been really curious about the amazing variety of animal life found there,  with the cute sloths, big billed toucans and poison dart frogs particularly drawing their attention.

Throughout the unit students have been learning how to use their ipads to research safely. This is in addition to the books and atlases we have in the classroom. They have also been learning how to create posters displaying their knowledge using their ipads.

The next step is learning how to save these 'lungs of the planet' from on-going deforestation, something extremely important when we look at the air in Bangkok and the fires burning in Brazil.

Also: Please don't forget our combined science and CCS homework is due on October 7th
